SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTURNITIES

The Visalia Rotary Community Foundation has established five scholarships and administers the Visalia Rotary Club Scholarships. Several Major Donors have contributed funds that are administered by the foundation and award scholarships that the donor selected to recognize. In addition, the foundation administers scholarships for the Visalia Rotary Club.

Below you will find the online application link for each scholarship. At the end of each application you will be prompted to upload your essay and transcripts.

The Jane & Bill Nash Scholarship

A $4,000, one year college scholarship for a graduating Redwood High School senior who maintains an unweighted, grade point average between 2.8 and 3.5. ​

APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 1 (Yearly)

The Dwelle Four Year Scholarship

A four year college scholarship for the Redwood High School graduate who maintains a 2.8 or greater grade point average. The scholarship can be as much as $5,000 per year for a full four years.

The Provident Salierno Family Foundation Music Scholarship

This scholarship is for students interested in a music career who maintains a 2.8 or greater grade point average. The scholarship currently provides a one time $1,000 for the student from the five high schools listed in the purpose.

The Robert Harrell Career and Technical Education Scholarship

This scholarship currently gives approximately 35 scholarships at $1,000 each for various vocational technical programs. The scholarship is for a student who is from Visalia (or lives in Tulare County and is attending a vocational program in Visalia) and is pursuing a vocational technical school in an accredited institution. There are four application periods each year for the Robert Harrell Career and Technical Education Scholarship. Please refer to the scholarship for the dates

The Richard B. "Dick" Watson $2,000 STEM Scholarship

APPLICATION DEADLINE: March 1 (Yearly)

The Richard B. “Dick” Watson $2,000 STEM Scholarship (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) scholarship consists of two, one-time scholarships awarded each year to students from either Redwood, Mt. Whitney, Golden West, or El Diamonte high schools who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom, extracurricular activities, and who plan to major in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.​

Scholarship for one female - $2,000

Scholarship for one male - $2,000

College of the Sequoias Presidential Scholars Program

This is a selective program for which students can apply based on their academic achievement and performance in high school. If selected they are granted a financial scholarship and unique support services to attend COS. The Visalia Rotary Community Foundation has created an endowment to help fund the program costs for these Scholars which average $2,000 per year per student. Program costs include tuition, student fees, book stipends, campus tours and more. Selections are made by the College of the Sequoias.
